From 1985 Henri has held numerous appointments as a Visiting or Adjunct Professor in North America, Asia and Europe.

Henri has been at the cutting edge of distance delivery and online learning for three decades in a variety of capacities: as a course designer, as a teacher and professional development provider, and as researcher. He has a reputation as an outside the teapot thinker.

Henri has been a leader in professional associations and currently holds the position of president of the International Association of School Librarianship. Previously he was Chair of the IFLA Section for School Libraries and Resource centres.

Sandra Lee is the librarian at University Canada West. She teaches classes online for the University of British Columbia Teacher Librarian certificate program. She has written a course on Web 2.0 and school libraries with James and this is her second workshop on this topic with James as well.

Sandra is a graduate of the UBC School of library and Archival Studies program and has worked in public libraries, focusing on children's library services and literature for young people. She spent five years in Hong Kong teaching in the library studies programs at the Faculty of Education of The University of Hong Kong.  James was a colleague at HKU and has forever changed her life-- an important mentor who has created much (interesting) work for her, despite being half-a-world away. She has taught cataloging, children's literature, knowledge management and information retrieval.  Her research interests include information literacy, information policy and adult learning. She returned to Canada in 2005 and although she is from Alberta, she relocated to Victoria where winters are milder and her family can easily access beaches and the Gulf Islands.
