
Lisa Domeier de Suarez has been a Secondary Teacher Librarian at Clayton Heights Secondary since 2007 in Surrey, BC and before that taught English and Spanish for 7 years. She is a graduate of the UBC Teacher Librarian Diploma Program where had the good fortune to have Sandra Lee and James Henri as professors where she became entrenched in web2.0 applications. She is passionate about using technology to engage students. Lisa presents regularly to teachers and students about technology and is working on a project where students teach teachers.
Previously to being a high school teacher she worked as an popular educator/organizer and coordinated international educational youth exchanges in Latin America with Canada World Youth. She is a member of the Surrey Teachers Association International Solidarity Committee which funds social justice projects with teachers in Latin America and Haiti and hosts the Social Justice DVD lending library Justice to Go http://justicetogo.wikispaces.com/
